Screen if you want to go faster!

Logo_new_white
Hello people of computer world

So as is always the case, following on from Flatstock in the MegAmericas and Poster Roast in Landan Tarn, I will be off with some of my poster pals to the wonderful  city of Liverpool for Screendelica as part of the Sound City music festival. It's on from 3pm on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st and if its anything like last year it should be a massive barrel of laugh apples for everyone to munch on. When the apples have been eaten we can then save the pips and use these to grow more apples for next years barrel.

And to top it all off, it's FREE which means if you hate music you don't need to buy a Sound City wristband to come and see the show and buy posters. And if you really hate music, why not pretend the bands names littering the beautiful posters being exhibited are actually the names of obscure literary marvels, pretentious critcal theorists or a friend of yours who changed their name for a bet.

On to the real world actual fact-mation from the Horse's mouth (that is only amusing if you know that the person running it works under the moniker Horse. which you do now so go back and re-read it and titter at how drole i am):

Screenedelica

34 Slater Street (former International/Art Organisation Gallery), Liverpool, UK

Screenadelica is a gig poster exhibition, celebrating the art of the screen printed gig poster, held during Liverpool Sound City festival. Playing host to both UK and international artists, Liverpool shall see a wide variety of styles promoting the bands the artists love, inspired by the music they hear. With digital download taking over the music scene, the desire to still own something physical makes the screen printed poster ...all the more important, driving artists to create pieces of art for each show which encapsulates the music in their eyes. This then means that rather than one artist representing the bands sound, they get a whole range of interpretations of their music thru the screen printed gig poster.

The actual exhibition is open from 3pm daily.

Confirmed exhibiting artists include:

Luke Drozd, WeThreeClub, Army of Cats, Nick Rhodes, Tiny Little Horse, Michael Cowell, Horse, Paul Rafferty, Craig Robson & John Biddle

We will have live t-shirt screenprinting during the show where you can have a go at printing your own shirt featuring one of 4 specially designed images which will be available at this show only!

THIS EVENT IS FREE TO ENTER

The gallery space shall also play host to a bar and will have a specially curated line up of bands and visuals featuring:
